COMMODITIES
Our team is composed by skilled cargo surveyors that carry out technical inspections on cargoes transported by sea or by land. The surveyors involved in this job must have multidisciplinary skills i.e. naval technique, chemistry, etc.The need to carry out qualitative and quantitative checks on goods transported is as old as the navigation. Since the Middle Ages the Genoese Merchant used to submit the lots of spices bought in East to verifications by opponent experts. The evolution on maritime transport and the advent of the containers at the end of the 60s, caused a change in this job. Now the surveyor must know the characteristics of a large amount of products as well as having high skills in the various mode of transport. Therefore a solid background of experience developed during the years is necessary. Our surveyor intervenes upon request FURTHER A CLAIM in order to evaluate the nature, causes and extent of damages sustained by a cargo.
